A personal Coat of Arms display, representing both my customer's outlook on life and faith. Originally the concepts started off with the phrase 'built on Christ' on the banner, however they later opted for having their faith represented by the ornate cross design, and the banner to feature a latin phrasing ' Non Sufficit Orbis',  famously known as "the world is not enough".

 

This Coat of Arms was created using a mixed media approach. Once the final concept had been agreed, I got to work with the main base design in black Faber Castell fine liners and graphite pencil. Colour was then introduced using Winsor & Newton watercolours, Promarkers and white acrylic paint pen.

I particularly enjoyed working with the vivid contrasting colours requested for this piece, along with the more traditional composition typically seen in traditional Coat of Arms displays.
