My customer wanted a Coat of Arms that represented his family heritage, with both nods to his American and Polish ancestry, along with subtle visual symbolism and cues representing his past, present and future.

 

This Coat of Arms was created using a mixed media approach. Once the final concept had been agreed, I got to work with the main base design in black Faber Castell fine liners and graphite pencil. Colour was then introduced using Winsor & Newton watercolours, Promarkers, white acrylic paint pen. An airbrush was then using for the finishing touches, introducing atmospheric light rays and haze to the piece.
